Oh, toetapping, you probably don't get snow where you are, do you?
I've lived in cold areas most of my life.
Wish you could have the experience though, I think it's a lot of fun. Not sure if I would enjoy it so much now though- but when I was younger, we always did build snowmen.

What is the first thing you notice in the opposite sex?

I notice their hands. I can tell what type of work a person does by how their hands look- and how they feel. Hands fascinate me- seeing them it is as if my mind is putting together what kind of things you've done/made/accomplished/gone through/experienced by looking at them.

Humor is important, I think for me it is how they present themselves. I like confident men.

What's your favorite color? I've always been a bit of a fan of indigo. Also a big fan of shiny, sparkly gold and silver.

What is the worst physical pain you have ever been in?
|

Post by Heather on Nov 16, 2014 0:31:28 GMT -5
The worst physical pain I've ever been is going to sound strange because of it's source- but the worst pain I've ever experienced is the day my son committed his crime and I was notified.
It's the first time that my mental pain actually outweighed any of my other pains. I've had gallstones, I had bad tooth pain. I've lived through both physical and sexual abuses... but I am not kidding you- that mental pain of learning that my son had committed this crime tore me apart piece by piece.
My head felt like it was going to explode. My heart would race so fast, I felt like I was going to faint. My chest was on fire that went all the way to my face which had turned a bright shade of red from the blood pressure. My muscles were sore and my throat was raw. Every nerve was on fire and I just wanted very much to die. I think if I had been alone that day, I wouldn't be alive today.

I live with a constant nerve pain at it's lightest it feels like a severe itching at it's worst it feels just short of burning. I am often reminded how strong I have to be just to deal with life on a daily basis. It is rather remarkable the amount of pain one can handle for prolonged periods of time.
I grew up in a rough household where you can guess at what I am getting at. Anyway I have a high pain threshold but still when dealing with the day to day I sometimes get overloaded.
When those times happen I have to apologize for being short with people, as for the most part I handle it so well people forget the constant background pain. So are surprised by the outrageous outbursts. Just remember if your my friend I don't mean my words in those moments.

The Enigma Shew, I can't "like" your post as I don't like what you're going through. But I do appreciate you explaining your situation to us here. It helps us all understand and to have empathy when we know you are suffering and not trying to be hurtful.
Thank you for that.

My worst pain was when i had gallstones. Pain was bad. Had surgery to remove them and my gallbladder. I'm glad to never have to have those again.
