Hello! I am Heather. This is my place. Now, make yourself comfortable. I will tell you a little bit about myself, I expect you will share yourself with me too.

I am a 40ish Lady. I have one child, a son who is 21yrs old and in prison. You might notice his "homecoming" listed in a countdown timer here. It helps me to see that time is moving...

I have a degree in Criminal Justice. Yeah.. I know.. not too happy with how everything worked out for me.

I also have several mental illnesses. Depression, anxiety, a few others. But I try to help others.

I really care about people. All people. The underdogs, the working class, the house moms, the overworked single moms.. the elderly, the forgotten.

I also have a bunch of medical issues now too. But who wants to just sit around moping all day? Let's chat about good things...

There is a place here for the hard spots, the painful stuff... but I want everyone to take away from this that there is still good out here too.. And I need to remind myself of that too.

Welcome to my house. It's good to see you here. Those kitties are sweet. I wish I could get a cat. But Not for awhile. My parakeet is my only pet. And I love her so much. She would be afraid at all times if I brought a cat into our home.

Oh, I have a boyfriend too- I dislike calling him that, he is a man. -=hand over mouth muttering his age=- he's 32. But Justin is a sweetheart and he and I have so much in common. I am lucky that he and I met. So, it's not really a bad thing. We've been together now for 8 yrs.

thanks hun, My partner Joshua is lets say friends with benefits kwim, i was married before but now divorced for 14 years

I gotcha. That's cool. Friends with benefits is a good arrangement.

I was still married when I met Justin. I divorced on August 1st 2012. The same day my dad died. It was so strange, how that stuff always happens like that.

Justin proposed to me... before my son's crime and arrest... and we just kind of put off getting married or even announcing our engagement...

Welcome to momo, who might be sleeping right now, but I just wanted to say a warm welcome to her as she just joined our group. Tis night time for her though.

She is a beautiful person and I am proud to have her as a member of my community!

Hi Heather.

You do have a lot of issues weighing upon your head and I for one am always willing to listen no matter what it is.
I like the idea of meeting someone with a degree in criminal justice.
That is awesome.
