Just watch what you reveal. truly personal info should be saved for only who you trust.

as far as an open site goes...if i think it's safe i am willing to share personal things up to a point...enigma, believe me i gave some experience myself through the years and have very very similar rules on my site :)... there may be some things that i may just share in pm or in a private section...i'll see..

Also, the thing is that i tend to try and help others more and only occasionally vent myself, not cos i dont need it sometimes, but cos i have overcome a lot of things and am more in a position to support others :)

I understand your reasons for wanting to keep it open very well :) And i agree totally as far as abuse goes. It is not a subject to be quiet about.

I agree that this is a great, welcoming and open site.  I think that you do have a point though in that people need to be careful about posting things that can identify themselves. It is a good practice to keep that sort of information to yourself.

Apple, O yea, couldn't agree more ! A golden rule i always try to keep for myself is to get to know someone thoroughly first before certain things are shared. There are certain things i only share on private boards and not in the complete open. Some things i dont share before i have known people at least a year. All of that doesn't mean one has to become completely paranoid. You can still show yourself and who you are and at the same time keep yourself safe :) If you manage to find the right safe places online then you can find friendships for life :)

Hello everyone, my name is BarrowMad I am 23 years old and I live in the United Kingdom with my husband and our three dogs, Bandit, Skipper and Bo.

I am a very easy person to get along with, and I like to make new friends with new people, I have been joining forums since the summer of 2007.

I am a huge Liverpool FC fan, and have been all of my life. My favourite Liverpool players are Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.

I am a General Assistant in the Plant Bread Department for a large supermarket chain, called Tesco. Before I worked in the Plant Bread Department, I worked in the Health and Beauty Department. I have been an employee of Tesco now since November 2011.

I am a huge fan of Scottish American entertainer that is, John Barrowman. I have had the pleasure of meeting him at a DVD signing and a signing of him and his sisters first children's novel 'Hallow Earth' and 'Bone Quill. A mad about the man, meeting him means the world to me. I have seen him twice in concert and six times in Pantomime; this was my seventh, last December in Cinderella, in Glasgow!

I like all types of music, but I hate really heavy metal, I hate rap music too. I like John Barrowman, Michael Jackson, and The Overtones, to name a few.

In my spare time, I like to write fan-fictions. For those who do not know, what a fan-fiction is I will explain as best I can. A fan-fiction is basically, a fantasy story based around a famous person you like, weather it be your favourite T.V personality, animated character, it could be around absolutely anyone you want it to. Mines based around my favourite entertainer, John Barrowman.

Anyway, I guess that should be enough about me, if you want to know more, feel free to ask. I look forward to making some new friends while I am here.
