I got kind of a busy day ahead. I have some administration work to do this morning for a commission i am a member of and this afternoon I have volunteer work at a historian place that collects all sorts of data about the history of my hometown and the surrounding region. Pretty interesting job actually. I will check back in later today :)

Finished filling out my xmas cards today. Going to have Justin take them to the post office later for me.

I slept alright, I suppose. I don't know- as I say these words, I feel like slipping back to the bed.

Will probably spend the day cleaning around the house and trying to plan a Christmas dinner..

I don't think I will do Christmas cards this year. I did get the tree up and accomplished a bit of shopping for gifts.

Hi ~apple~. I usually fill out my xmas cards- but anyone who knows me knows that ...unfortunately, I very rarely get them in the mail. Don't ask me why, I just have a strange problem with mailing things. When I moved in with Justin, we were going through my boxes of things together and he found a whole stack of greeting cards and letters I never mailed to him, but were all filled out, addressed and stamped. Just.. I don't know.. I never get them into the mail.

I so hope it is "the thought that counts" because I was thinking of him. lol!

Sadly there was a terrible storm and didn't get for the drinks but will be another time.

I love my Christmas cards. Made 40 and posted them all last Sunday. I get such a thrill having the cards around the house.

Dentists to today and hopefully last one for the year.

It's going to be challenging when Justin comes home. He has to sort out his health care exchange thing- he *thinks* he might have messed it up last year- in which case, we might be paying back for an insurance plan he never even used all year. I am not sure what went wrong, but he is kind of upset today.(putting it mildly...)

well...im at my brothers place typing a message to all let you know something. I may be a bit limited with posting for some weeks at least to come. Cos guess what ? Of course right before the holidays the only computer i had goes out. It shut off last night and there was smoke coming out of the back. End of story, burnt motherboard. Meh ! I do have a tablet but it's slow so that's why i may be limited in posting a bit, but i will be here when i can. I do have the option that i can do some things inbetween at my brothers computer..

Oh Apple, yes, the volunteer work is fascinating indeed. Yesterday i archived a bunc of stuff from the 1920's...there were even soapbars from 1925, still in the original packing. Also lots of mineworkers stuff yesterday... next week its gonna be stuff from the first and second world war from the region here..

Hi everyone :)

checking in quick cos i need some sleep soon and have a busy day ahead... but i have been trying out things on this tablet and found a browser that works relatively quick and i even found an app with which i can make office documents so i can keep doing part of another volunteer job i am active in. I´m a member of a commission that advices the local city hall council about the rights that low income people have and try to stand upp for their interests

so it seems i can keep posting decently while i wait for a computer :)

I will check back soon and write some ore and get baack to some messages

Just finished with our D&D session. Was a lot of fun although the d20 was not kind to me tonight. Only damage I sustained was because of crit fails. That's just how the dice rolls. (lol)

Anyway- still trying to come up with a decent Christmas dinner menu. I've hosted Thanksgiving Dinners before but never Christmas- and I feel really weird- we aren't fancy around here. My biggest issue- I was volunteered for it but I don't actually have a dinner table. Enjoy your dinner in my living room- you don't mind holding your plate, right? lol...

Hi all, Sorry to hear your mom was taken ill ~apple~ how is she doing now ok I hope. Been darned cold here in the UK today it could almost cut your nose of lol But at least there is no snow yet. had a bit of rain though. But hey what do you expect in good old rainy England right lol

Hello tt- I agree, this is the wrong time for shopping for anything at all...

Speaking of which, I have to figure out some kind of gifts... *sigh* I always feel silly spending money on items I am not even sure if the receiver wants or likes. I would rather give cash.. and it isn't because I hate shopping- I would rather they get something they want or need- not something that I threw together at the last minute. You know what I mean?

Any good ideas for a mother-in-law type who is wonderful and nice- but has everything? She is a Raven's football fan but doesn't attend games (medical reasons)... I just hate this trying to find something sweet and good for her. She deserves more than I can actually give her- you know?

...I am just thinking out loud- but any kind of ideas would be helpful.
